Robert Anderson (Memorial Scholarship)

Robert was a 2009 graduate of Salinas High School, where he was an accomplished Track and Cross Country runner. He went on to run for Hartnell College, California State University Northridge, and California State University Monterey Bay. Robert loved the 800 meter run and was passionate about the 4X400 meter relay. Although Robert was a talented runner, his greatest gifts according to his family and friends were his heart, enthusiasm, and compassion and he meaningful impacted all those who knew him. Robert passed away in a fatal car accident, and this scholarship was created in his memory by his family.

Impact

The Robert Anderson Memorial Scholarship was established to benefit Hartnell College students in their second year on either the Men’s or Women’s Cross Country/Track & Field Team who have participated in events (400m, 800m, 1500m, 5000m, 4×400 relay or cross country) and desire to continue to compete in cross country/track & field at a four-year institution.
