The I.O.O.F. (Independent Order Of Odd Fellows), has been assisting people internationally since the 1700’s, starting in England.
Their name was chosen because, centuries ago the words: “independent” meant, “not influenced by others” and, “order” meant, “organization” and, “odd” meant,“different than the ordinary” (in a good way!) and, “fellows” meant, “a group of people with same ideas and ideals”.
